S2 Schedule Change Requests

It’s crazy to think we are almost near the end of 1st semester. With that, sometimes students want to make a change to their schedules.  Schedules will only be changed for very few, required reasons (example: you already took a class, you didn’t take the prerequisite class, you are missing an hour - not to be with friends or switch lunch hours).  Also, just because you request a change does not mean it can be done.  Remember there are many factors that play into whether a change can be made (is the class full? Does it conflict with another class in your schedule?)

Please click here to access the change form (you must be logged into your school email in order to access the form). This is timestamped and will be processed in the order of when I receive the request

If you would like to see a list of all of the classes for each semester and what is offered each hour, please click here.

If you have questions and would like to schedule a time to do a video meeting with me, click here.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, I won't be printing schedules or a copy of the courses and times they are offered.

Schedule changes can be requested up to 5 days after the start of the first day of 2nd semester.

Thank you!

FAFSA Completion Event

On Tuesday, November 10th at 5:30 p.m., we (Albany, Sauk Centre, Eden Valley-Watkins and Melrose Schools) have collaborated to bring parents and senior students an opportunity to complete their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) with the help of a financial aid representative from Dakota Technical College in Rosemount, MN (you can be planning to attend any college to attend this event).  This event will be done via Zoom.  A link to the Zoom session will be sent to those that RSVP in the form (link) below.

This is a great way to get some help and to get that FAFSA completed.

October is College Knowledge Month!

During the month of October, in an effort to encourage potential to apply to college, many colleges are waiving the application fee.  Here is a link of the MN schools that will not require a fee.  Some are free all month and some are just during the last week of October.  Be sure to reach out to me if you want any help with your application!  Stay tuned as there will be a couple different sessions I will hold to help students during the last week of October to apply to college.

College Visit Opportunities

I am excited to share with you information about some unique opportunities for students this fall, including learning about higher education options over the MEA Break! The colleges and universities of Minnesota State are coming together for special information sessions so students can learn more about academic options, financial aid, transferring from a two-year college to a four-year university, and more. Many of these sessions will be VIRTUAL to make it easy and safe! And to top it off, students can even apply for FREE anytime during the last week of October.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back!  I am so excited to be able to see the students in a very short amount of time!  In the meantime, if you are wanting to request a schedule change, please click here (you must be logged into your school email in order to access the form).

If you would like to see a list of all of the classes for each semester and what is offered each hour, please click here.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, I won't be printing schedules or a copy of the courses and times they are offered.  Also, when appropriate, I will be meeting with students via Google Meet or out in the hallways as it is not possible to social distance in my office. Also, because we are going to be in a hybrid mode of learning, schedule changes are more difficult and only those that are ESSENTIAL will be made.

Schedule changes can be requested up to 5 days from the first day of school.

Thank you for your understanding and see you soon!

Plan Ahead for Changing your S2 Schedule

Wow!  We are almost done with half of the school year!  As we start thinking about 2nd semester, if you are wanting to make any changes to your schedule, please try to do this before the start of the semester.  The deadline to change your schedule, however, is Friday, January 31 (the end of the 1st week of the new semester).

If you need to make a change to your schedule you can find the schedule change form by clicking here.

If you need to see what classes are offered and their hours, please click here

I want to let you know that due to personal reasons, I will be out of the office January 13-17 which is why it is important that you plan ahead.  Any schedule changes that are turned in during that week will be processed upon my return on Monday, January 20 (which is the last week of 1st semester).  Any emails sent during the week I am gone will also not be answered until I return on January 20.  Thank you for your patience and assistance in preparing ahead of time as to not cause any stress for yourself as you wait for your schedule to be adjusted.

As a reminder, I will not process your requests without all proper signatures from parents and teachers.  Once your form is completely filled out, you may turn it into the orange box outside of my door.  If you need assistance or do not understand how to fill out the form, please make an appointment to see me.  You can send me an email at mdusha@isd740.org
and I will email you back with a time.

Good luck with the end of 1st semester!
